BUSINESS TRAVEL – Essentials You Must Bring When Travelling For Business

alexandre villaguel abergo and i welcome you to another alexandria at work episode in today’s episode i am sharing with you what are the top essentials when it comes to traveling for business when you are traveling whether it be for a conference whether it be for a meeting whether it be for an event or a business opportunity that you may have well these are really the essentials that you must bring with you especially when it comes to you know the travel part being in the airport and in the airplane and all of that now before i get started with today’s episode as always i have a little gift for all of these essentials that i share with you so that like that when you pack your bags and you’re getting ready for your business travel well you will be able to know exactly what these things are without having to come back and watch this video again as an international speaker i spend a lot of time traveling for business to go speak in different countries and in different cities so over the past few years i’ve kind of you know created a list of all of these essentials that i need to have if i want to have a smooth traveling experience you know i once left for a book tour i went on a world book tour for a period of six months so half a year i was in and out of the city taking airplanes every single week almost to believe me that these essentials i know that they are essential all right so without any further ado well let’s begin with the first business travel essential and this one i would say is really my number one out of them all it’s the one that i always bring with me and even when i travel for pleasure you know so this is my little traveling wallet i bought this many years ago there’s already a lot of usage on it and this basically is go it’s like an organizer for traveling so here it’s written boarding pass so you know that in this little compartment oh look look at what we have right here there’s even a boarding pass from last time so we have the boarding pass here it’s a place for currency and there’s a zipper so that you can of course close it and not lose anything i always make sure that i bring the currency of the country that i’m traveling to but always have some u.s money because you know it’s more of like the international currency so i always make sure i have a lot of these here then there’s a place here for the tickets right there’s a place here for your passport so here i have my passport then there’s for others you know whatever other paper document you may have item rarity or things like that but this is such a life savior you know this is really i put it in my purse and then i am able to be organized you know as i travel and as i you know go through the airport towards the the airplane because there’s nothing worse than not being organized and then having so i don’t know board the plane and then where’s my boarding pass where is this or having to be uh you know at immigration at the borders and not find your passport you know because you don’t know in which pocket you put it now with this little bad boy everything is in the same in the right place in the same place and knew exactly where to find it so this is definitely my number one uh business travel essential then the number two the second one and again this one has a lot of usage on it because i’ve been using it for several years but this is um what i use when i’m in the airplane or even on in the airport and i have a lot of time on my hands and then perhaps i’m feeling creative i want to develop a new business not business idea but a new product idea i’m working on something and here is my notepad where i can take a lot of notes here we have more papers i have also a pen and a pencil i have some of my business cards here as well so i always make sure to bring my business cards with me but i just love this because you know i just close it everything stays in the same place it’s very practical a thing also that i would say is a big essential when it comes to traveling is always having a pen you know when you when you’re about to land in a new country and you have to fill up the forms there’s nothing worse than not having a pen and having to ask your random neighbor next to you that you barely even know sorry do you have a pen just always have a pen with you when you travel it’s gonna be um you know it’s gonna be more productive talking about productivity well here are the other tools that i use for productivity i always bring with me of course my laptop i love the macbook air i think it’s so light you know you can just put it in your purse on your kit in your carry-on and then i can work when i’m at the airport or when i’m in my airplane obviously i always make sure that i bring my charger with me very very important once happened many years ago that i forgot my charger at home was like why did i even bring my laptop i don’t even have my charger so i always bring my charger always bring of course also my cell phone charger and now i always bring with me a portable charger this is very very important because there’s nothing worse than being in an airplane that doesn’t have you know plugs and then your laptop or your phone dies and there you go you know you can you can do nothing all of a sudden also staying in the topic of productivity i have always my agenda with me i love to bring it with me this is where i’m going to write my itinerary everything that i have to do and talking about what the things that i have to do obviously also always bring my phone and in my phone in the notes section whenever i’m about to travel to a new city a new country i always make sure i google what are the best restaurants what are the best places like you know you know like the must-go places in the city because i often like to mix you know business travel and fun so whenever i’m going to speak somewhere let’s say when i did the tour i would go you know for a week to a new city and a new country i would speak one evening but then the rest of the days i would just travel and play tourists right so i always like to already ahead of time prepare you know all of the places and every evening where i’m gonna dine every morning where i’m gonna have breakfast where i’m gonna have lunch and i just have the list and the itinerary in my agenda another essential that is not just an essential when it comes to business traveling but just for regular traveling is my little as i call it lifesaver pouch this thing has saved my life so much i remember when i was on tour traveling this has helped us so much you know this is where i keep all of the little you know essentials such as hand sign sanitizer lip balm uh you know little liners also for for women then i also have these wipes that i love because if you’re eating something in the airplane and you just want to you know clean your hands there’s this i have eye drops eye drops are such a must because when you’re in airports and airplanes your eyes can get so dry i have little mints so that if you know right after you you leave the airport you’re going to a meeting straight while you have your mints here you know i even have in here some nail polish remover now i make sure i don’t do this in the air but like in the airplane because then it could be very annoying for the people around me but if let’s say i chip an l or something at least i know i have this i can go in the washroom and i can do it there i can just remove it uh the nail and remove my nail polish i always like to bring this but i even have you know uh tylenols and uh i even have this ano you know so that my belly is hurting or even have um how’s it called throat you know mints if the throat is hurting so i have everything in this lifesaver pouch and i highly recommend that you create your very own so that you can you know get your life saved whenever you need to another thing and this one is specifically for the ladies this is really essential is to bring some blotting paper you know when your face gets all like greasy and oily and disgusting or some compact powder i’ve noticed that when i travel it’s either my face is going to get really dry or really oily and then i get out of the plane looking like i took a an oil bath you know on my face that’s not a good look so i make sure i bring some of this of compact powder or some blotting paper so that right before i get out of the airplane i can you know take care of the situation that’s going on and talking about things that happen in the airplane if you’re taking a very long flight you want to bring this you want to bring of course the pillow for the neck most people bring that but how about this this is good you know so that there’s not light make sure you bring a very comfortable one that’s not going to destroy your makeup for the ladies and your eyelashes and all but this is really good if you really want to take a quick nap or a long nap also and finally one of my big very important essentials that i always have to bring with me when i travel especially if i have long flights or you know layovers is a book you know for reading and you can of course bring my book with you beyond beauty a guide to self love confidence and full feminine power shameless plug so i always like to bring a book so that i can finish it uh while i travel you know so it’s a good way because
